Originally launched in the 1990s, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M has continuously evolved while maintaining its contemporary appeal within the Swiss brand’s lineup. In recent years, however, the model has embraced a more vintage-inspired aesthetic, with the latest additions featuring a distinct retro character in both design and materials. Joining the collection for 2025 is the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Bronze Gold and Burgundy, which pairs the warm tones of the brand’s proprietary alloy with a dark red aluminum bezel and the choice of either a black rubber strap or a matching Bronze Gold mesh bracelet.

The no-date format for the Seamaster Diver 300M first debuted on the 007 “No Time to Die” Edition, worn by Daniel Craig in the 2021 James Bond film. However, it was only in recent months that this design made its way into the standard-production lineup. A similar no-date layout was featured on the two Seamaster Diver 300M 60 Years of James Bond editions in 2022, but the first core collection models didn’t arrive until late last year, introduced as two monochromatic stainless steel versions with black or silver dials. To round out 2024, Omega released a two-tone variant with a green dial, crafted from titanium and its proprietary Bronze Gold alloy. Now, for 2025, Omega unveils a premium no-date Diver 300M, made entirely from Bronze Gold and featuring a deep burgundy bezel insert.

Compared to the standard time-and-date Seamaster Diver 300M, the newer no-date models embrace a subtly more vintage-inspired aesthetic. In addition to removing the date display, these versions feature more prominently domed sapphire crystals and swap the ceramic dials and bezel inserts of the regular Diver 300M for aluminum alternatives. Furthermore, the bracelet-equipped models come with mesh bracelets featuring straight end pieces, enhancing their retro appeal. These design updates result in a more understated look that leans even further into vintage styling than the original 1990s Diver 300M models. While wave-pattern dials and multi-link bracelets have long been signature elements of the Diver 300M, they have also been among its more polarizing design traits. The latest no-date versions, with their refined and minimalist aesthetic, stand out as some of the most universally appealing models in the current lineup.

OMEGA SEAMASTER COLLECTION

Before diving into the new watch—which primarily offers a new material and colorway variation of recent Seamaster Diver 300M models—it’s worth revisiting Bronze Gold itself. This exclusive Omega alloy contains 37.5% pure gold, classifying it as 9k gold. In addition to the standard components of bronze, including a significant amount of copper, Bronze Gold is enriched with precious metals like palladium and silver to create a premium take on bronze that aligns with the standards of a luxury timepiece. The high gold content enhances the alloy’s resistance to corrosion while also deepening its signature warm hue. Although Bronze Gold will still develop a patina over time, the process is slower and more refined, avoiding the verdigris oxidation (the blue-green patina) typically seen on traditional bronze, resulting in a more subtle and elegant aging effect.

Since Bronze Gold contains only half the gold content of the 18k alloys typically used for watch cases, Omega’s Bronze Gold watches are significantly more affordable than their 18k gold counterparts. That said, with pure gold making up more than a third of the alloy by weight, Bronze Gold remains noticeably more expensive than standard bronze.

The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in Bronze Gold and Burgundy, when purchased on a rubber strap (ref. 210.92.42.20.01.003), has an official retail price of $13,900 USD—just over twice the cost of the stainless steel no-date models and about one-third the price of a time-and-date Diver 300M in 18k gold. However, choosing the version with a matching Bronze Gold mesh bracelet (ref. 210.90.42.20.01.003) more than doubles the price to $27,900 USD, placing it in an entirely different category of luxury.
