New Omega James Bond Watches 2026 – James Bond vs Spectre

Omega and James Bond have shared one of the most famous partnerships in the watch world for more than 30 years. In 2026, Omega takes that relationship in a new direction with the Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond and Spectre Collection.

Released on James Bond Day, October 5, the collection is built around one of the defining conflicts of the 007 universe: James Bond versus Spectre. Bond is represented by blue, while Spectre takes the darker side with black.

For Omega collectors, there is another interesting aspect to the launch. Both watches use the familiar 42 mm Seamaster Diver 300M platform – a watch that can change dramatically depending on the strap or bracelet fitted to it.

James Bond in blue

The blue model is unmistakably Bond.

Its colour scheme connects directly to more than three decades of 007 history, beginning with the blue Seamaster Professional Diver 300M worn by Pierce Brosnan in GoldenEye in 1995.

The new version features a blue aluminium dial with the characteristic Seamaster wave pattern, combined with a Grade 5 titanium diving bezel. Omega delivers the watch on a brushed stainless-steel mesh bracelet, continuing a look that has become closely associated with modern Bond watches.

Mesh gives the Seamaster a distinctly utilitarian appearance, but the Diver 300M has always been particularly versatile when it comes to straps. A blue or black rubber strap pushes the watch further towards its diving-watch roots, while a NATO-style strap creates a more military-inspired Bond look.

That versatility is one reason why the Seamaster Diver 300M has become such a popular watch for strap changes.

Spectre goes black

The second side of the collection belongs to Spectre, the criminal organisation most famously associated with Ernst Stavro Blofeld.

Here, Omega takes the same basic Seamaster concept in a considerably darker direction. The black dial and black ceramic bezel transform the character of the watch, while the famous Spectre octopus emblem appears on the rotor visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.

Placed alongside the blue Bond model, the idea is immediately clear: 007 versus Spectre.

The black version also opens up interesting possibilities when it comes to straps. On black rubber, the watch becomes almost completely monochromatic and considerably more tactical. A contrasting grey or military-inspired strap changes the look again, while a stainless-steel bracelet moves it closer to the traditional Seamaster aesthetic.

It illustrates something we often talk about at Wristbuddys: the strap is one of the easiest ways to completely change the personality of a watch without changing the watch itself

From mesh to rubber – the Seamaster is made for strap changes

Omega's decision to use mesh for the new Bond models is particularly interesting because straps have played an important role throughout the history of 007 watches.

Bond watches have appeared on steel bracelets, leather, NATO-style straps and, more recently, mesh. Each combination creates a different character.

The Seamaster Diver 300M is particularly well suited to rubber. A fitted rubber strap follows the shape of the case and creates a more integrated appearance while also making the watch practical for swimming, travelling and everyday use.

For a blue Seamaster, matching blue rubber preserves the classic Bond colour scheme, while black rubber creates more contrast. On the Spectre model, black rubber arguably takes the concept even further and emphasises the watch's darker aesthetic.

For owners who regularly switch straps, this also means that one Seamaster can cover several very different styles.

A proper dive watch underneath

Beyond the Bond connection, these remain serious Seamaster dive watches.

The stainless-steel models measure 42 mm and offer 300 metres of water resistance. Inside is the automatic Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, certified by METAS and offering approximately 55 hours of power reserve.

The absence of a date window keeps the dial symmetrical, while the combination of modern specifications and classic Seamaster design makes the watches usable well beyond their James Bond connection.

That is also why the Diver 300M works so well as a strap watch. On mesh it has a modern military character. On rubber it becomes a pure sports watch. On NATO it moves closer to Bond's historical field-watch aesthetic.

One watch – several completely different personalities.

More than another Bond edition

Omega has created many James Bond watches since GoldenEye, but the 2026 collection introduces something genuinely new.

For the first time, Spectre gets to stand opposite 007.

And because both models are based on the Seamaster Diver 300M, owners are not locked into the appearance Omega chose at launch. Changing the bracelet for rubber or NATO can transform either watch and create a very different interpretation of the Bond or Spectre theme.

So perhaps the question is not only whether you choose 007 or Spectre. It is also how you choose to wear it.
