Breitling arrived at Watches and Wonders 2026 with a space-born icon and a meteorite dial. The Navitimer Cosmonaute Artemis II connects the brand's deep-rooted space heritage with modern exploration, combining a functional 24-hour display with a meteorite dial and a limited production run of 450 pieces. Here's what you need to know.

Breitling Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute Artemis II

The Cosmonaute's story begins in 1962, when astronaut Scott Carpenter orbited Earth during the Mercury-Atlas 7 mission wearing a specially modified Navitimer. Its defining feature was the 24-hour dial, created to distinguish day from night in orbit, a function that remains central to the model today.

This 2026 release pushes that legacy further. The meteorite dial is one of the most distinctive elements of the watch. Formed in space and composed mainly of iron and nickel, the material reveals a natural Widmanstätten pattern, meaning no two dials are alike. On the wrist, the 41mm case offers strong presence without feeling oversized, while the manual movement adds a more tactile and traditional experience.

Specifications:

  • Case size: 41mm

  • Lug width: 22mm

  • Movement: Breitling Manufacture Calibre B02 (manual-wind)

  • Display: 24-hour chronograph

  • Limited to 450 pieces

For a more modern and sporty feel, a rubber strap is a natural upgrade for the Cosmonaute. Black rubber keeps the look clean and versatile. Leather straps bring out the classic aviation aesthetic for a more traditional pairing. Explore Breitling rubber straps.
