Everything we know so far about the June 2025 teaser
On June 2, 2025, Swatch did what Swatch does best. They dropped a silent, visually striking teaser on Instagram. No branding, no context, just a 10-second underwater scene and a date. June 7.
The footage showed a glowing dive watch surrounded by drifting kelp. A green haze filled the frame. The lume was intense. The silhouette looked familiar. And just like that, the community went into full decode mode.
Zoom in, pause, screenshot, repeat.
The bezel appeared fully lumed, reminiscent of the classic Fifty Fathoms look but sharper, maybe even thinner. The dial lacked the traditional 3 6 9 12 markers, hinting at a Mil Spec layout. And the color? Somewhere between tactical green and deep sea olive. Not quite like any of the existing models.
One thing is clear. This is not just another colorway. Something is different here.
Then came the timing. The teaser landed five days before World Oceans Day, and just ahead of the global premiere of Ocean with David Attenborough. A documentary focused on marine ecosystems. It is hard to imagine that is a coincidence. Swatch has tied previous launches to environmental themes, and Blancpain’s Fifty Fathoms has always been deeply linked to ocean conservation.
So what are we looking at?
Some believe this is a tribute to the original Mil Spec issued for combat divers in the 1950s. Others think it might be the first chronograph in the Swatch x Blancpain line. A bold move that would take this collaboration into new mechanical territory. A few fans even pointed out that the kelp might hint at a California coast or Pacific Ocean theme.
The speculation is not slowing down, and Swatch is not saying a word. Which means the only thing we can do is keep looking closer.
Our take? We think this could be a nod to the Mil Spec. But with a twist. Either Swatch is introducing new functionality, like a chronograph, or they are about to release a design that is more tool watch than art piece. And if the green lume is any clue, this might be their boldest dial yet.
We will be updating this page the moment we know more. Whether it is a leak, an early store sighting or a press release, you will find it here first.
